Richard Sherwin

Richard Sherwin was an Associate Professor for Poetry at Bar Ilan University for 37 years where he taught English and American Literatures, Creative Writing, the Image of the Jew in Literature, and Oriental Influences on Western Literature - among other courses.  He also taught part-time at Tel Aviv University for some 20 years, establishing the first American Studies courses.  He is married, with three children and six grandchildren - all geniuses. He writes poems from time to time, and, when not studying Talmud, lectures sporadically in Israel and overseas on Buddhism, Literature, Bible, Judaism, and his own poetry.
